A Piece of the Northland Heading to Target Field: Valentini’s Food to be Served During Twins Games

One of the fantastic things about going to a Minnesota Twins game is the opportunity to enjoy great Minnesota cuisine. When the team moved into Target Field, it was well-publicized that much of the concessions would be local favorites from around the state. The Twins organization officially announced today that a Twin Ports area favorite will become one of the new items available this season.

Among the list of new items for the 2012 season, Valentini's Mega Meatball, which is a cheese-stuffed meatball served with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese, is being added to the lineup. Valentini's recipes are truly inspired by Italian roots with a firm connection to Minnesota. Many of the recipes available here in the Twin Ports came directly from the legendary Valentini’s Supper Club in Chisholm.

Many other foods are being added to the selection, some of which have Minnesota origins. One other notable addition is a cocktail that uses 2 Gingers Irish Whiskey, which is a Twin Cities-based authentic Irish whiskey company, whose owners are first-generation Irish immigrants to Minnesota.
