Grandma's Marathon announced Wednesday that they've reached an agreement for ASICS to become their official shoe sponsor, which will have a positive impact for runners.

Grandma’s Marathon – Duluth, Inc. announced a multi-year agreement with ASICS, which will be in place for the 45th annual race weekend, scheduled for June 17- 19, 2021.

“ASICS is the ideal sponsor for Grandma’s Marathon events. They have a long history of uniquely meeting the needs of runners, race directors, and the running community by offering world-class race management, premium brand sponsorship, and marketing. This partnership brings the best of our worlds together while also enhancing our race day experience for participants. We look forward to working with them to support our running community." - Shane Bauer, Grandma’s Marathon Executive Director.

This means that ASICS will be seen just about everywhere during Grandma's weekend, including the Health and Fitness Expo, William A. Irvin 5K, Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon, and Grandma’s Marathon.

Furthermore, this will allow participants to access custom training plans in the ASICS Runkeeper® app, participate in ASICS-sponsored celebrations, and receive other benefits through the OneASICS™ loyalty program.

A lot of people think about doing an event, whether it's a 5K, half or full marathon, but they aren't sure how to start training to make sure they'll be prepared.  Having a training plan such as this is very important to help build both stamina and confidence.  That's what's great about running events, it's just about getting out there to have fun and hit whatever personal goals you decide to set for yourself.
