Avenue C Restaurant In Cloquet Closes Without Warning

According to Fox 21 News the restaurant which opened less than a year ago is now dark and the sign on the door just says CLOSED. The Avenue C Facebook and Instagram accounts were taken down on Monday.

Employees are left wondering if they are going to get paid for the last 2 weeks of work because they could not reach the owner. Avenue C is owned by Doug Smith who is also co-owner of The Green Mill restaurant in Duluth. Smith could not be reached for comment.
