BBQ And Bikes Event Combines Two Great Things
It's officially riding season in the Twin Ports and in addition, May is Motorcycle Awareness month so be extra sure to start keeping an eye out for bikes.
There is a great community event featuring good eats from a local meat smoker coming up on Saturday, May 8th. Tig's Smok'n Pig BBQ Food Truck will be stationed at the Harley Davidson Sports Center in Duluth.
In my mind, the event is kind of like a kick-off to summer riding. What better way to celebrate than with pulled pork, brisket, and other smoked meats, all while getting some shopping done too. It's also a nice destination if you want to plan on doing a group ride that day. Get some miles on the bikes and then make the stop for lunch to help support a local food vendor. Tig's is family owned and operated and even has hand crafted BBQ sauces to go with the smoked meat, should you want it.
They will be on-site as scheduled from Noon-5:00PM and only will close up early if they sell out of product for the day. So make sure you get in early to get a belly full of yummy. What's also pretty cool, is that Aerosmith teamed up with Harley and are offering some really rocking merch. I've seen some of the shirts in person and they have that retro look with one of the biggest rock bands of all time tied into the artwork.
