If you're interested in having Sarah and the Cloquet Area Fire District do a home safety visit, they will resume in September and you can get more information or schedule a time by calling 218-499-4528 or visit cloquetareafiredistrict.com.

According to their website, during a safety visit, "a public educator will examine existing units to determine if they need to be replaced as well as ensure proper placement. New smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors will be provided as needed and installed by our staff. The homeowner will also receive education on fire safety within the home along with how to maintain/test their alarms/detectors."
