Facing the possibility of not being able to play hockey for UMD in the 2012-2013 season, Cody Danberg got two pieces of really good news about the upcoming year earlier this week.

Danberg's NCAA eligibility was set to run out after spending a season on the bench due to a shoulder injury. The NCAA informed him this week that his eligibility had been extended, allowing him to continue play this season.

Accompanying the news of his ability to continue play as a Bulldog this year, the team named Danberg team captain for the upcoming season. Prior to this announcement, he had served as an assistant captain.
