Don’t Bring A Bag To GNR On September 21st
We are in a whole new world of rules and guidelines when attending public events. It's not even that following most of them is a pain, it's that almost every venue for concerts is doing things differently. Some are requiring masks, some require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a recent negative test, and others are now not allowing bags because of it.
Guns N' Roses is set to play the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, MN on Tuesday, September 21st. Like many others, I have waited for this show for over a year. The boys are all back together and I missed them the last time around pre-pandemic. As I was watching live videos of recent GNR shows, I decided to take a look at what policies are in place for the venue at this time, so we can prepare for that.
According to the Xcel Energy Center website, no bags will be permitted. That means no purses, backpacks, small clutches, or even clear bags. This is to limit how many hands are touching items at security checkpoints, to keep that contact down. They will however be allowing diaper bags and medical bags, but you must use Gate 1 if bringing those, and they may be subject to x-ray.
Another thing to remember if attending is that cash will not be accepted at the venue. That means for parking, concessions, and even retail purchases. Also, they do have the handy NHL Mobile App for ordering concession items at the show. As of now, these are the only restrictions for the event, so it's not that bad. You can keep updated with the Xcel Energy Center policies in place for this and other shows HERE.
