We are getting closer to summer, which will hopefully be a bit more normal than last year.  As we all know, that season is short in the Twin Ports region, so we need to take advantage of as many opportunities as we can.  Something that is a mostly seasonal event for our area is flea markets.  There is a brand new one kicking off with an inaugural event this weekend.

Douglas County Trader's Village will be hosting the event at the Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds.  It's on Saturday, April 10th from 9:00AM-3:00PM and it sounds like there will be plenty to check out.

Their Facebook page calls it a "Craft Fair and Chicken Swap".  There will be vendors of all sorts at this event.  Featured will be the flea market, direct sales vendors, farmers market, food trucks, and much more.  If anything, it's a good way to get out of the house and it's free to attend.  The event also features local vendors, so if you do find something you can't live without, you are helping people from around the area, and that's good for everyone.

It also sounds like they are planning on making this a monthly event through the summer, which is good news for the community.  The Head of the Lakes Fairgrounds in located in Superior, WI at 4700 Tower Avenue.  You can get plenty of other details, including contact information if you want to setup at future events they host HERE.
