According to WDIO a Duluth School district authority official did confirm that a Duluth East student was physically assaulted last Monday. According to a video that is being shared it appears the incident did not take place on school grounds.

Duluth Police said they are aware of the assault and Superintendent Bill Gronseth said both people involved are students at East, but would not elaborate or confirm that any actions was taken against the assailant. He did go on to say that the school district is working closely with the Duluth Police Department and that "appropriate actions are being taken."

Additional Information from CBS 3 Duluth indicates another video is circulating around social media in what appears to be the assailant boasting about the incident saying he would do it again if he had the chance. He went on to say that the victim was lucky to be at school "otherwise he might be dead" (the victim).

The assailant went on to make a claim that the reason he beat up the victim was because allegedly he stole some things from the assailant among other things. He made a video about the incident, which you can watch here. Note that this video has crude language.

"CBS 3 Duluth spoke with the mother of the victim and she disputed the claim, saying her son–the victim–“never stole,” and “never talked crap” about the assailant."
