At the start of the Minnesota Boys Hockey Tournament, there were three Twin Ports teams representing the area. The first has fallen at the Xcel Energy Center in a shutout.

Duluth Marshall (21-8) entered the game as a #6 seed to face off against #3 Breck (25-3-1) at 1pm Wednesday in the Class A Boys bracket.

Breck asserted themselves early, scored two power play goals in the first period of play; and didn't look back from there. Penalties continued to hamper Marshall's efforts further into the game, as a third power play goal  and a fourth goal at full strength in the 2nd period gave Breck more separation for the final period of the contest.

In the end, the Breck offensive unit proved to be too much, pouring on three more goals in the third period to bring the game to its 7-0 final. Breck led in shooting 33-18 and converted on 3 of its 3 power play opportunities.

Hermantown (Class A #1 28-0) faces off Wednesday night at 6pm against Rochester Lourdes (20-8) and #1 Duluth East (27-1) challenges Lakeville South (20-8) in the Class AA bracket Thursday at 6pm.
