Duluth’s Lake Superior Zoo Presents the EGG-stravaganza April 3

A fun family tradition is back again this year at the Lake Superior Zoo! The Egg-stravaganza is set for Saturday, April 3 with special health and safety guidelines in place.

Lake Superior Zoo's Egg-stravaganza will be open from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., with special Members Only times also available. Due the pandemic, all tickets must be purchased in advance for one of 9 available time slots.  Each time slot has a 100 person capacity, so you'll want to purchase your tickets as soon as possible as this is expected to sell out.

Ticket prices are $14 for adults and $7 for children over 2. Lake Superior Zoo Members and children 2 and under are free, but they will still need a no-charge ticket in order to keep track of the number of guests in each time slot. • Bubble walk
• Easter Egg hunt with prizes
• Photo op HOP!
• Meet the Easter Bunny (socially-distanced)
• Food trucks
• Special Easter-themed enrichment for the animals

The Lake Superior Zoo has also provided a full list of health and safety measures which will be in place for the event:

1. Our capacity is limited and carefully monitored to ensure physical distancing. Each time slot is limited to 200 tickets per group to be in adherence with the limit of 250 guests on Zoo grounds at one time.
2. A one-way path is designated throughout the Zoo. Map coming soon.
3. Hand-sanitizer stations are available throughout the Zoo.
4. Guests of the Zoo are asked to refrain from visiting if they are in a high-risk or vulnerable category for COVID-19, are not feeling well or have a fever.
5. Guests are encouraged to wear face coverings, utilize hand-sanitizing stations, and maintain a six-foot distance from other groups.
6. Additional sanitation of high-touch surfaces and restrooms will be performed throughout the day.
7. Zoo staff must wear face coverings and their health will be monitored each day prior to reporting to work.
8. Vendors and treat stations will be limited and will be located six feet off of our pathways, allowing our visitors the opportunity to choose to interact with vendors only if they feel comfortable doing so.
9. Only vendors will hand out candy, there will be no self-serve candy distribution.
   All games and entertainment will be adapted to allow for six feet of social distancing between families and will be conducted in areas of the zoo where the ability to social distance is more prevalent.
10. Opportunities for non-group related activities such as a scavenger hunt will also be provided.
11. In accordance with Governor Walz’s Executive Order 20-81, all visitors and vendors will be required to wear masks and face coverings in all indoor buildings (Main building, Primate Conservation Center, and Australia building).
12. When interacting with a vendor, guests will be required to wear masks.
13. Any guest that becomes symptomatic during the event is required to leave immediately along with anyone they arrived with.
