The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center will once again be hosting "Escape The Bong" this February. The event is now it it's third year and features fun escape rooms with historical references. The money raised during the event goes to help The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center with its mission in honoring veterans and providing educational resources for the Twin Ports and communities beyond.

The escape rooms will be open from February 12-14. The first starts at 9:30 in the morning and the last begins at 8pm.  Each escape room is designed for an hour of fun and challenges. There's a maximum of 10 people allowed in each room, and only players known to each other can be in the same room. They suggest that you have one person handle the booking of the rooms which you can do online. Tickets are $25 for 13 and older. Tickets for kids $12 and under are $15.

Because of COVID-19, this year's Escape The Bong will require guests to follow recommended safety protocols. All participants must wear a mask for the duration of the event. If you forget one, they will have some available for purchase. All participants must also have Bong Center staff sanitize their hands upon entering the building and completing the game. If you are feeling sick, do not attend. If you are waiting on a COVID-19 lab test or have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days, please do not attend.

They have four rooms available this year: River Of Doubt, Dead Man's Chest, Toy Collector, and 1890's Jail. You can read more about the themes on the Bong Centers website.
