The Olympics have come and gone, but we have a lot of great memories of area athletes making a big impact.  Tuesday afternoon, the community is invited to the DECC to honor our Twin Ports Olympians.

The City of Duluth is hosting a public recognition program on Tuesday, February 27, at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center, Lake Superior Ballroom from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Members of the U.S. Women's and Men's Curling Teams, Cross Country Skiing Coach Chad Salmela and other Olympic team representatives will be present.

Doors are scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m. with the program starting at 5:00 pm. The athletes will be coming directly from the airport and will enter the ballroom under a canopy of curling brooms.

Duluth Mayor Emily Larson, Superior Mayor Jim Paine, and the Olympic athletes are all expected to speak.   Video highlights from hockey and curling will also be shown. Following the program, the public will have an opportunity to interact with Twin Ports Olympians.

Free parking is provided until 6:00 p.m. courtesy of the DECC.

If you can't wait to greet the Twin Ports Olympians, the will be arriving at the Duluth International Airport at 5:00 p.m., before being escorted down the festivities at the DECC.
