The Tweed Museum of Art, located on the University of Minnesota Duluth Campus, has a permanent art collection containing over 10,000 objects.  On Saturday, October 19th, they are opening their doors for a free family day event where you can make and take a shoulder bag home and learn something too.

They run different exhibits throughout the year and currently have their Bandolier Bag Exhibition featured.  Alison Aune and Wendy Savage will lead the program helping you to create shoulder bags from a kit developed by the Minnesota Historical Society.

Family Day will run from 1:00PM-3:00PM on that Saturday and the Tweed Museum of Art's address is 1201 Ordean Court, Duluth, MN.  While the event is free and open to the public, they do require registration due to limited supplies.  You can get more information on this event, including the registration details, and other events that the museum is hosting in the near future, here.
