Some diehard UMD students waited in line for student season tickets for as long as 20 hours on Monday into Tuesday.  Their patience paid off when the ticket booth opened for business at 8am on Tuesday.

500 tickets were sold in the first couple of hours, and by noon the school announced that they had sold about 700 student season tickets.  For $110.00 dollars the students got a ticket for all of the home games while school is in session and a t-shirt.

To pass the time on Monday into Tuesday while waiting in the hallways at school the students studied of course!  They also played video games, knee hockey and a bean-bag toss even broke out.  Many more tried to sleep, watch videos or text on their phone.  Pizza was popular for those in line, along with chips and energy drinks of course!

The Bulldogs will start their season on October 12th and 13th at home against Ohio State University.  A year ago, the Bulldogs were 25-10-6 and reached the NCAA tournament and produced a Hobey Baker winner, in the likes of Jack Connolly.
