If you're experiencing symptoms of the COVID-19 virus you can get tested this week for free and with no doctor referral.

The State Emergency Operations Center, Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Wisconsin Emergency Management, and Wisconsin National Guard are working with local health departments to offer the free drive-thru tests in Solon Springs and Ashland this week.

Officials say that there is a 24-48 hour turnaround on the tests and that anyone 5 and older with any of the following symptoms is welcome to get a free test:

Fever, cough, loss of taste/smell, shortness of breath, sore throat, fatigue, body aches, diarrhea, vomiting or nausea, chills, shaking with chills, muscle aches.

You do not need a referral from a doctor for one of these nasal swab tests and the test is free. You can get more information here.
