Rockstar will be opening the content creation beta for deathmatches and races in GTA Online on Tuesday, and offered a few details on when more new content would be coming to Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer.

Over on Rockstar Newswire, the developer dished the details on the content creator, which gives players the exact same tool set the devs themselves used to craft GTA Online. You'll be able to share deathmatch, team deathmatch, race, GTA race and rally race maps through the Rockstar Social Network. Players will be able to download, play and rate your creations, and you just might see your map make it to the big time if it's shared enough and rated high enough. The content creator will be available as a free update, but to use it you'll need an active Social Club account.

Later in December, Rockstar is still hoping to release Capture, GTA Online's take on capture the flag. According to the post, Capture will feature "four squads [battling] to steal contraband, trucks, buses or whatever from opponents' bases using high-speed vehicles, explosive weaponry and cunning teamwork." This update will also be free, and more specifics should be available in the coming weeks before the holiday.

Unfortunately, Rockstar did reveal Heists wouldn't be coming until 2014, as they still need more polish and work before release. However, Rockstar made it up to fans by announcing new single-player story content would be coming as well in the new year. While the DLC hasn't been given a date or any real details, it's nice to know we'll be able to hang with Michael, Trevor and Franklin again to take on new missions in 2014.
