Every May until last year, Harold Ankrum, his family, and his gang of Carlton folks held the annual Harold's Flippin' Flapjack Fiasco. The pancake feed has been a great way for the community to get together and raise money for the kids at St. Jude. However last year we were in the first few months of the COVID-19 pandemic and it wasn't possible to hold the event at the Four Season Complex due to social distancing guidelines.

This year they have decided to play it safe again and won't be having the pancake feed. However, they are going to do exactly what they did last year, which raised a ton of money.

Volunteers that normally are flipping pancakes and serving guests will be accepting drive by donations. They will be at the corners of highway 210 and 45 in Carlton with long handled buckets to collect donations on Sunday May 2 from 8am-1pm. They'll be practicing social distancing guidelines and ask that you put your donation in the bucket and keep moving so there won't be any congestion issues.

Last year volunteers were blown away by how many people showed up to donate. It was a bright spot of hope in a very dark time. While we are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel from this horrible pandemic, it's still nice to have some volunteers doing good things in this way. Fantastic work as always by the Carlton crew.

All proceeds from this will go to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This is one of several events including the Hog Roast, and Harold's Fiasco Golf outing that raise over $30,000 each year.
