The haunted attractions across the Northland are starting to gear up for next month, when Halloween season gets into full swing. Many of them are also looking for people to work at the haunts, including a newer attraction in the area.

Recently, organizers putting together the Haunted Ship put out a call for volunteers to take part in the big event. You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer and of course, must love all things spooky.

Meanwhile, over in Carlton, the Haunted Shack also put out a call for volunteers to help out on the attraction. The Haunted Shack offers a $500 incentive for groups or organizations that volunteer to help out.

Now, another local attraction is seeking some help this spooky season. Hellwig Hallow is having an open-house type of event to meet people interested in being a part of it this year - if you dare!

For some background, Hellwig Hollow is a haunted house located in Canyon, Minnesota. Canyon is a pretty short drive from Duluth and just past Independence. The attraction is open every Friday and Saturday in October.

It is one of the newer attractions in the Northland and they are looking for people to help out this year. They put out a casting call of sorts on Facebook, stating that they would be holding an open-house style audition for those interested.

The open house will take place on Friday, September 16th and will begin at 5 p.m. Auditions will continue until about 8 p.m. Those hired will make ten bucks an hour with costumes and makeup provided. There will also be free food for employees.

Each night, the haunt will be open from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The last ticket is sold each night at 10:45 p.m. The haunted attraction describes itself as a "thirty minute walk of terror" so make sure you are prepared before you arrive.

Tickets to the haunt are fifteen bucks at the door. If that video doesn't convince you to attend, I don't think anything will. It looks awesome! The haunt can be found at 7480 Harris Road. If you have any questions regarding being part of the event, reach out to organizers on their Facebook page.

A Haunted Hotel In Wisconsin Is For Sale

Photos From Small Town Wisconsin UFO Days

I recently attended a UFO festival in a small, charming Wisconsin town. They claim to be the UFO capital of the world, with many sightings still occurring. It even made national headlines in the 1970s. I'll say this, the festival was out of this world.
