Getting the family in the car and heading out to see Christmas light displays is a popular tradition. This handy map makes planning your route so much easier, allowing you to get the most out of your drive! The map is assembled by A Sweet Event, which puts on the Twin Ports area Christmas Lighting Challenge, including entries in Two Harbors, Cloquet, Proctor, Superior, Hermantown South Range Grand Lake, and Duluth.

Vote for your favorites!

Each of the locations on this map are looking for your votes! You can vote right from your smartphone, or make notes and vote once you get home. There is a home and business category, and you can vote for one in each category in each town. Just be sure you let the world know which ones are your favorites! Each town will have winners, with an overall winner in each category also being crowned.

Voting ends December 20, and winners will be announced December 22. Even though voting ends before Christmas, many of these light displays will remain up through the holiday for you and your family to enjoy!

What do the different colors mean?

You'll notice a few different colored icons on the map. Here's what each of them mean:

  • Red: Homes or residential displays
  • Blue: Business or commercial displays
  • Green: "Master Entries", which are winning homes from previous years
  • Purple: These mark popular annual displays Bentleyville and Marcia Hale's lighting display on Park Point
