A major culvert replacement project will close down a portion of Highway 2 that runs through Proctor for about three weeks.  The Minnesota Department of Transportation expects the work to begin on Thursday, October 10 on the busy roadway.

While the work is being done, a detour will be in place. Drivers will encounter signs that will take them around the northwest end of Proctor - following East Railroad Avenue.  In addition to the signs, drivers can find updated traffic information by clicking here to visit MNDOT's 511 online portal. As with any road construction project, MNDOT officials urge drivers to exercise caution and practice safe driving skills.

Timeline for the culvert replacement project is 20 days, which would make the scope of the work last about three weeks - bring the anticipated completion date (at least for the detour) to the end of October.
