Last night the Miami Heat lost to the Boston Celtics 94-90. This came on the heels of Chris Bosh return to the court, but even Bosh couldn't stop Rajon Rondo coming out party. Rondo has made everyone including his own team look like idiots by saying Boston needed to get rid of him at the trade deadline.

But instead of focusing on Boston triumphant victory last night, let’s take a look at Miami. This team was supposed to be the next dynasty, the next Chicago Bulls of the 90's. Now they look like a team that more resembles the early 2000's New Jersey Nets where they have the talent to go deep into the playoffs, but they can never come out on top. The best analogy to use for the Heat is this, Boston is a team surrounded by a big three, and Miami is three superstars on a team.

Is it time to blow up Miami's roster? If so who is the first to go? First person to go is Erik Spoelstra, and it is not even his fault, but in sports the quickest and easiest way to shed the blame is pointing the finger at the coach. Pat Riley who is now the General Manager for the Heat will likely step in if he chooses to fire Erik. Riley did this in 2006 when Stan Van Gundy stepped down, and Riley led the Heat to their first title. Spoelstra will be fired if the Heat does not reach the NBA Finals.

Whether or not Erik gets fired, the Heat need to do something about their roster. They have guys who are more like band-aids then basketball players. They need to get rid of one of the big three, and most likely it will be Chris Bosh, yet I think Bosh has more upside, and you can easily build around him better then D-Wade or LeBron, but Wade and James want to play together, so it makes more sense to trade Bosh. You could get a handful of quality players who could easily patch up some of those enormous holes on the Miami Heat roster. Not to mention the Heat could shed a lot of salary cap space, and could sign two good free agents like Steve Nash or Jason Terry.

In my eyes the Heat should ship D-Wade away. Wade is consistently hurt, and Bosh is a better fit then D-Wade. The Heat might not get back the same quality players that they would get for Bosh, but still you would have two big men in James, and Bosh, and then fill in the rest of the starting lineup with Nash and Terry. That right there sounds more threatening than what they put out there now in the likes of Shane Battier, Mike Miller.

I think the Heat need to look in the mirror, and realize they won’t be winning eight championships with this bunch. They were lucky to even get this far. I am not saying this team can't do it, but from what I saw last night, this team looks lost and confused. It might be time to start talking about the Miami Dolphins if you live in Miami, because right now the Heat are looking like they are just about done.
