Is This The Worst Vikings Team Ever? Is Ponder The Answer?

The next four weeks will tell a lot about this Minnesota Vikings team. They will either be known as the worst Minnesota Viking team ever(which is held by the 1984 Viking 3-13). It looks like the Vikings will end up either 2-14 or 3-13, and could be picking anywhere from first or fifth in this upcoming draft. How can this team with so many stars be this bad?

Are we drafting wrong? signing the wrong players? Is it our coaching staff? It is probably all of those things together. Look at the past five years the Vikings have drafted, name three players besides Adrian Peterson, Chad Greenway and Percy Harvin who have made an impact. You can't think of anyone. Name the last big time free agent not named Brett Favre the Vikings have brought in the past three years. You would get guys that are not performing. Our coaching staff I will let it go this year because its their first year. Yet we have became a team that resembles the 2009 Detroit Lions(2-14).

I am not trying to bash the Vikings, I stick by them through thick and thin, but right now its embarrassing how

horrible this team is. Our secondary does not cover receivers, our offensive line can not block anyone, and our receivers beisdes Harvin can not get open. We have a quarterback that I am indifferent about. This upcoming draft has a plethera of amazing quarterbacks, and I think last year we flopped at picking Ponder. If you take a look at last year draft we could of had Nick Fairley, Mike Pouncey, or Prince Amukamara. Either one of those would have helped this team. Now this team could be missing out Matt Kalil who looks like he is coming back to USC, and could become one of the best Left tackle in the league.

Justin Blackmon is my favorite for the Vikings to get in this draft, he reminds me of Calvin Johnson. Blackmon and Ponder could become the next Montana to Rice combo, but with no offensive line that will never happen. I wished the Vikings would of waited until this year to draft a quarterback, because with Andrew Luck, or Robert Griffin III or RGIII. Those two guys are incredible, but we have Ponder and we can not just throw him away

Time will tell what the Vikings will do, will they become the next 1984 Vikings? Will they actually draft smart this year? If the Vikings mess up this draft then this team will suffer for the next decade, and could be heading to Los Angeles.
