It was a lucky and profitable weekend for someone who decided to purchase a Wisconsin Lottery ticket in Stanley, Wisconsin, which has a population of under 4,000.

The win came from a Fast Play game, which combines instant wins with a progressive jackpot. According to the Wisconsin Lottery, Fast Play games are like scratch-offs, without the scratching.

Players can purchase Fast Play games at any Wisconsin Lottery retailer either from a store clerk or a Wisconsin Lottery vending machine. There are no drawings, you can play your ticket on the spot to find out if you're a winner.

The Jackpot starts at $10,000 and grows with each ticket purchased until it is won. A percentage of sales from each Fast Play ticket purchased goes to the Progressive Jackpot. You can watch the Jackpot grow in real time and it resets whenever there is a winner.

How much of the progressive jackpot you can win depends on if you purchased a $1, $2, $5, or $10 Fast Play ticket. Here are the payouts:

  • $1 winning tickets win 10% of JACKPOT
  • $2  winning tickets win 20% of JACKPOT
  • $5 winning tickets win 50% of JACKPOT
  • $10 winning tickets win 100% of JACKPOT

On Saturday, February 24, the Fast Play Progressive jackpot had grown to $200,031 when someone walked into DJ's Marts, located at 302 N. Broadway in Stanley, Wisconsin.

They purchased a $10 Fast Play ticket, which turned out to be a great decision because that ticket would have all the winning numbers, and the $10 ticket meant the entire jackpot was theirs.

After the big win, the progressive jackpot was reset to $10,000 and it'll grow from there until it is won.
