Say Goodbye To The Cast Iron Bar And Grill After Ten Memorable Years
Say it ain't so! A popular Duluth restaurant shared some disappointing news on Tuesday afternoon: they are closing soon. You better stop by one last time and see them off before they go.
The sad news was shared on social media today (May 5th). The Cast Iron Bar And Grill will be closing. They didn't give too many details for now but did say that the restaurant has been sold.

They did not say who the restaurant was sold to or what the future may hold for the space but staff did promise to share those details in the days to come and after the sale. The last day in business will be this Saturday (May 9th).
They thanked all of their loyal customers for the support over the years and encouraged everyone to say their goodbyes before they close for good this weekend.
This is definitely shocking news! I have been to the spot a handful of times and it was always delicious with really good service. The restaurant is located along Old Miller Trunk Highway. It's the end of an era!

The bar and grill came to be about a decade ago. It was previously a supper club and after that closed, two friends decided to invest in the spot and the Cast Iron was born. One of the friends was a frequent diner at the supper club.
In fact, the Cast Iron just celebrated ten years in business last week. The restaurant prides itself on being a 'casual neighborhood bar' and that makes this loss hit even harder. It is definitely a bummer.

We will have to wait and see what is going into the space. Will it be another restaurant? Only time will tell. In the meantime, go celebrate a great ten years and say goodbye to the Cast Iron before they close this weekend.
It's always a huge loss when a local business closes. We've lost some legendary places lately.
