Of course, I'm sure nobody forgets special days and weeks in August such as National Watermelon Day on August 3 and National Smile Week from August 5 through August 11.

However, I didn't realize until today that there is another thing August is known for, but thanks to the adult store Pure Pleasure in Hermantown, I now know that August is Anal Sex Month, and I, along with a lot of other people, know that Pure Pleasure isn't letting this month slide by without offering a pretty slick deal.

Pure Pleasure is located at 5193 Miller Trunk Highway in Hermantown, which is a busy highway in the Northland, and they used their big electronic sign to promote their Anal August Sale, which means of course they're offering 20% off all anal products.

That's what a good business does, takes advantage of a special month and offers customers a special deal. However, based on the cars slowing down and even pulling over to take a picture, I get a deep feeling that this is rubbing some people the wrong way. Either way, anyone interested in this special will need to squeeze in any time during the month of August.

**UPDATE: Hours after this story was published, Pure Pleasure censored the sign by replacing two letters with symbols. It now reads A**L AUGUST. Of course, the discount remains.
