The 2023 running of Grandma's Marathon and Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon in Duluth are in the books, with a huge field of participants hitting the course on a dry, sunny day perfect for running. Several of this year's races came close to course records, with one record being broken during today's events.

Going into Saturday's races, women's half marathon course record holder Kara Goucher believed that her record in the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon was going to fall this year. It turns out that would be true.

In her first-ever Duluth appearance, Maggie Montoya beat Goucher's 2012 record by 20 seconds, going in the record books with a time of 1:09:26. Montoya becomes the seventh woman to hold the course record over the years of the event.

Here are the other event headlines, category by category, followed by an extensive photo gallery from along the course of Saturday's events.
