The Minnesota Vikings have made it official.  Interim offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski has been named the Vikings permanent offensive coordinator.

Stefanski was Vikings first choice to take the job, but he was under serious consideration to be the new head coach of the Cleveland Browns, who had invited him for a second interview this week.

Ultimately, the Browns decided to hire Freddie Kitchens, their interim offensive coordinator, as their new head coach. That opened the door for Kevin Stefanski to accept the permanent offensive coordinator position with the Vikings.

According to StarTribune.com, Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins and Stefanski have a great relationship and Cousins speaks highly of him as an offensive mind. Their relationship will be crucial moving forward.

Now its up to the Vikings to help them both by vastly improving an offensive line that failed to give the Vikings offense much of a chance to do anything during the 2018 season.
