Election Day 2019 is fact approaching.  And while this November's general election may not pack the punch that next years will (2019 is considered an "off year"), there are still a wide variety of races on the ballot - each of which are important to Northlanders.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, 2019 and ahead of that the City of Duluth is working to inform citizens about some of the important details surrounding this annual right of civic passage.  Their website lists some of these details as "key information":

One last note about off-year elections:  The term off-year election refers to those alternating years where there isn't a federal office on the ballot (i.e. President, Senator, Representative, etc).  And while you might consider those elections not as important, a good argument could be made that they are more important than those national contests; elected offiicials like mayors, city councilors, school board representatives, and the like probably make more of a difference in our daily lives - through municipal and regional laws - than those on a higher level.
