This week Republicans in the Minnesota Legislature entered a new proposal for consideration in the discussion for a new Vikings stadium. The plan looked to financing the stadium through bonds and also called for a "roof-ready" stadium, rather than an enclosed field. The Vikings discredited the plan along with a number of proponents of the existing proposal.

Today the new proposal was removed from consideration, with House Majority Leader Matt Dean saying there were "impediments" standing in the way of the new proposal, making it a non-viable option. With the removal of this new proposal, the original bill will go to vote in the House on Monday.

House Speaker Kurt Zellers says he is personally opposed to the bill that will go to vote on Monday, saying that he isn't sure the bill will survive Monday's vote.
