The Minnesota Vikings didn't surprise anyone when they announced this morning that head coach Leslie Frazier was "relieved of his head coaching duties."

Vikings Owner Zygi Wilf said that Frazier "stepped in and established a strong positive culture here and he has been the consummate professional as our head coach and in this community. Making this change is difficult, but what we determined is best for the organization.”

Vikings General Manager Rick Spielman kept his job and said “Unfortunately, we did not achieve consistent success and did not achieve the progress we expected...We believe a coaching change is needed to help build a successful team moving forward.”

The search for a new coach is already underway, and you can expect that ownership and management will move quick on this, so they don't lose any hot coaching prospects to other teams that are also searching for new leadership.
