Minnesota Wild Hosting Free Fan Festivities Prior to First Two Playoff Games
The Minnesota Wild officially begin their championship quest Wednesday night at the Xcel Energy Center as the Stanley Cup Playoffs begin. The Wild face the St. Louis Blues and the team will be hosting free, pre-game fan parties for games 1 and 2 in St. Paul.
According to the Wild, the pre-game party for Game 1 will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12, with the game starting at 8:30 p.m. On Friday, April 14, the pre-game festivities will be held from 4-6:30 p.m., ahead of the 7 p.m. start for Game 2.
Both parties will be held at the expansive Cleveland Circle parking lot across W. 7th Street from Xcel Energy Center and you do not need a game ticket to join either party.
Pre-game festivities will include a DJ, the two-story Bud Light Mega Bar, playoff merchandise, and NHL alumni autographs. NHL alumni will be signing autographs from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on April 12 and 4-5 p.m. on April 14.
The Hockey Lodge, Official Team Store of the Wild, will be on-site selling playoff merchandise as well as Wild Playoff Survival Kits, available for $20.
Make sure to gear up and join other fans to get pumped up for the games. If you don't have a ticket for the game, you can still pre-game here and then duck into a nearby pub to cheer on the Wild.
