Minnesota Wild Sign Thomas Vanek

Minnesota Wild fans didn't have to wait long in NHL free agency for a big deal to happen, as the Wild signed Thomas Vanek within two hours.

According to Michael Russo of the Star Tribune, Vanek and the Wild agreed to a 3 year deal worth $19.5 million.

This move should help the Wild score more goals, Vanek ranks eighth in the NHL in goal scoring since 2005, with 277 goals.
