Earlier today it was announced that Minnesota Vikings S Harrison Smith was named to his first Pro Bowl, tonight LB Anthony Barr and QB Teddy Bridgewater learned that they will also make their first appearances in Hawaii.

Barr and Bridgewater become the 4th and 5th Vikings to be named to the Pro Bowl this season, joining RB Adrian Peterson, DE Everson Griffen and Smith.

Both Bridgewater and Barr were selected in the 1st round of the 2014 draft and both have definitely made their mark on the Vikings and the NFL in 2015.

Barr totaled 68 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 INT, 8 QBHs, 4 TFLs, 3 FF and 7 PDs in his second year. He was key member of the NFL’s 5th-ranked defense that allowed 18.9 points per game.

Bridgewater lead the team to an 11-5 season and a Northern division title with a 65.3 completion pct. and threw for 3,231 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Barr replaces Patriots LB Jamie Collins, while Bridgewater will replace Cardinals QB Carson Palmer, both of whom are sidelined due to injury.

The Pro Bowl will be live from Hawaii’s Aloha Stadium Sunday starting at 6pm on ESPN.
