It's almost here! Duluth's newest restaurant addition is planning to open soon if all goes as planned.

You've probably heard of the new restaurant, which is in place of the old Sunset Bar & Grill in Duluth. According to the location's Facebook page, the restaurant could be open as soon as May.

Several fans wrote on the page, asking when they were planning to open. Employees with the restaurant answered several of these questions, each time stating they were shooting for May.

I reached out to confirm if they were indeed planning to open in May and I received a message back. The message stated that they were "shooting for end of May" as an opening date. However, they also added that "the stars need to align for that to happen!"

Let's hope that all of the stars align so that they can open sooner rather than later. We first learned that BoomTown would be opening a Duluth location at the start of 2020. At the time of the announcement, they were planning on opening in spring.

Unfortunately, the pandemic happened and shut down restaurants and businesses off and on throughout the rest of the year. For this reason, the restaurant opening has been postponed a handful of times. Hopefully, they are able to open soon as we start to see a light at the end of the tunnel with the pandemic.

BoomTown has a few other locations in the Northland, including in Hibbing and in Eveleth. Their menu includes burgers and delicious appetizers, among many other things that will make your mouth water. You can feast when they open at 4483 Martin Road in Duluth.
