Twin Ports food fans rejoice as a new food business will open up in the Billings Park neighborhood in Superior, Wisconsin.

The new business coming to town will be a catering and private chef business called Superior Roux. According to their Facebook page they strive to utilize locally sourced farm to table methods, they are servsafe certified and have 30+ years of combined experience. They posted an update on on their page yesterday (3/6/22) stating:

Happy Sunday morning everyone! We wanted to take a moment just to update everyone, and give a big shoutout and thank you to everyone who has been buying bread and tarts and helping us during our growing pains. We have 2 major updates for everyone.
1. We will not be offering bread/tarts this week as we are doing final R & D *recipe and development* for our opening and making sure we are fully prepared in every way so we can provide the best service possible.
2. Our opening date is 3/16 and we will be serving food from 2:00 Pm to 7:00 PM and pickups will continue as usual at the new location. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Superior Roux offers up a  a menagerie of French, Spanish, Cajun, Creole, Filipino, as well at Northern and Southern American cuisine. They also have experience in plant based operations including vegan, vegetarian, and many other dietary restrictions. They will be located in the former Billings Park Café building at 1802 Iowa Avenue in Superior. They plan to open on March 16th, 2022.
As well as catering options that include special event dishes, private dinners, and meal deliveries, they also have bread and pastries. For the bread and pastries, you have to order in advance and will available for pick up during service hours on Wednesdays 2-7pm. The bread and pastry options include: Rustic French Bread, Everything Bagel French Loaf, Focaccia Bread, Homemade Jam Tart, Oreo Cookies and Cream Tart, and Homemade Jam.

Chef Paul Lukens is a local who is also a graduate and alumni of Escoffier Culinary Arts. His co-owner and fellow chef Jeremy Wilson was born and raised in New Orleans who happens to make authentic Cajun cuisine.
