When Olympic Pole Vaulting Goes Horribly Wrong
So far, the 2012 London Summer Olympics have had some memorable athletic accomplishments — along with some moments that didn’t really live up to the Olympic standard.
Ukranian pole vaulter Ganna Shelekh had one of those failing moments when one of her vaulting attempts at the height of 14-4 went terribly wrong. During the attempt, Ganna lost control of the pole in her hands (giggle) before she was able to plant into the ground for the vault.
She needs to control the pole better. Giggle again.
