The first thing I want to say is, man did Blair Walsh made all of us forget about Ryan Longwell. So now let's dig into yesterdays game. After reflecting on for almost 24 hours a few things stand out for me. First was how much more comfortable Christian Ponder looked in the pocket.

Ponder really jumped out at me. He started off a little bad only going 3-for-7 for only 32-yards, but finished the game going 17-for-20 with 238-yards. Ponder didn't throw any touchdowns, but not throwing any interceptions made the offence really productive. We can all say Ponder is no Tom Brady, but if Ponder can continue doing what he did yesterday then maybe, just maybe Ponder is our franchise quarterback.

Adrian Peterson, where should I begin? Peterson just eight months removed from tearing up his whole knee, tore up the Jacksonville Jaguars defense. The scary thing is if Peterson was only at 80-percent yesterday just imagine what he will look like when he is fully 100-percent. Peterson became the Vikings leading rusher surpassing Robert Smith with 6,818 yards.

The Vikings defense looked suspect at best. If Blaine Gabbert can throw for 260-yards just imagine what Aaron Rodgers will do to our defense, but it was an improvement. I won't say much for our defense, besides our defensive line was dominate, and Chad Greenway looked like one of the best linebackers in the NFL.

If it was not for a cool, and collected Ponder, and a big kick from Rookie Blair Walsh, we would be talking about another fourth quarter collapse, and Chris Cook big mistake that led to Jaguar go ahead touchdown with 20 seconds left in the game. Everyone take a picture of the NFC North division standings, because it will be the last time the Green Bay Packers will be in last place, and the Vikings are tied for first place. Next week I will dig a little deeper, because it was only one game, and not much stood out to be besides Ponder, and Peterson.
