There was some very heavy rain on September 30th that caused some massive flooding in Douglas County, Wisconsin. The rain came after an already very wet September, and rivers and creeks rose to near record levels.

The Douglas County Facebook page has shared some photos and video of the damage. Some of those areas was of the County W road and Dedham Road which both cross the Nemadji river.

As you can see, much of the blacktop was washed away causing significant damage.  The photos and video were taken by the Douglas County Planning & Zoning department.

Also during the flood and the following day, October 1st, Woodlawn Rd in South Superior was closed because of the rising Nemadji River.
