Jay Cooke State Park is kicking off the new year with several snowshoeing opportunities that will help keep you active and are also free.

On Friday, January 10th, from 6:30PM-8:30PM you can join a state park staff naturalist as they lead you on a full moon snowshoe night hike through Jay Cooke.  The naturalist will also give a talk on the wolf before the hike as January's full moon is known as the wolf moon in certain cultures.

The group will meet at the River Inn Interpretive Center at 780 HWY 210, in Carlton, MN.  Space for the program is limited however so you'll need to register in advance, and also reserve a pair of snowshoes if you need them.  To register and reserve you can call 218-673-7006.
