Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has ordered a dramatic increase of COVID-19 testing across the state, and Essential Health has announced they're prepared to step up.
The Minnesota Stay at Home order currently runs through May 4. Out of respect to the order, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness will remained closed.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz stated he wouldn't consider reopening the state until the state could successfully process 5,000 COVID-19 diagnostic tests daily, with ample antibody testing capacity as well. That day may be coming in the near future.
With 85 more confirmed cases and five deaths from COVID-19 in Minnesota announced Wednesday by the Minnesota Department of Health, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has extended the stay-at-home order to May 4.
The website provides the total number of confirmed cases, a breakdown of cases by county, COVID-19 related deaths, the number of people who have recovered, prevention tips, what you should do if you feel sick, and a lot more.
The order asks Minnesotans to stay home unless doing essential tasks, extends the bar and restaurant closures, and lays out distance learning in schools.
