The original Independence Day wasn’t exactly subtle. It trashed the White House, the Empire State Building, and the Capitol Records building. It laid waste to huge swaths of the planet, all for the amusement of summer moviegoers. So how do you top that?

For me, May 15th can't get here soon enough because that's the day "Mad Max: Fury Road" is released in theaters nationwide.  Growing up, one of my favorite movies was Mel Gibson's "The Road Warrior" and this relaunch looks beautifully chaotic.

Disney's live action remake of "Cinderella" is already generating a lot of buzz, and the early reviews have been fantastic.  So, the movie seemed destined to be a big hit on it's own, but now a showing of the short "Frozen" sequel prior to the start of "Cinderella" all but guarantees it will draw massive audiences.

While I'm not against all remakes, I'm totally on the fence on the idea of remaking "Poltergeist", the classic and quotable movie that was released in 1982.  Regardless of my feelings, a remake has been completed and here is the first look at the movie.

Even if she isn't in a top notch movie, Melissa McCarthy always provides some laughs.  In her new movie, "Spy" she teams up again with the director of "Bridesmaids" and "The Heat", so expectations are high.

Here's another reason to look forward to next summer.  It's not only a new Terminator movie, but Arnold is back. It looks like a cool action packed time travel head game.

There's been a first trailer released for Marvel's "Avengers: Age Of Ultron", and now here's another look at the highly anticipated film, featuring an extended opening scene.

Time to start getting excited, Avengers fans.  Although the new movie won't be released until May, 2015, a pretty good looking trailer was just released.
