About a month ago I reported that Tavern 105 in Superior was for sale, that sale is now complete but fans of the bar/restaurant won't like the news.Tavern 105, located 1811 Central Ave. in Superior, was put up for sale for the asking price of $430,000 and today in a Facebook post they announced that the sale was done but would not continue to be a bar/restaurant after the sale was complete.

In the post, Shelly, the owner of Tavern 105 says, "First and foremost I want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. I made it where I am today because of each and everyone of you. Staff, customers, family and my handpicked Tavern 105 family, I appreciate everything you have done to make 105 a successful business the last 6 years."

Tavern 105 will continue to serve customers until June when the building will go to the new owners and close forever. No information was given about who bought the building and property, but my guess is Kwik Trip.

Kwik Trip owns all the land surrounding Tavern 105 and currently has a car wash at that location, but it is located across Tower Ave. from the gas station and my guess is that they would like to either build another car wash, or move the current one next to the store. But we will have to wait and see.

Fans of the bar/restaurant have been expressing their gratitude for all the great years of service and asking for recipes, even offering to buy them. I've never eaten there, but now I want to try this blue cheese recipe people are asking for.
