The TCO Vikings 5K used to take runners into U.S. Bank Stadium, but due to the pandemic the event will be virtual in 2020 and registration is open now.

The virtual event will take place between Tuesday, September 1 and Sunday, September 13, when the Vikings kickoff their season against the Green Bay Packers.

The cool thing about it being virtual is that fans from across the country can run or walk a 5K at their favorite location.

All registered runners will receive the following:

  • A collectible wooden medal
  • SKOL face buff
  • An official race bib

Plus, all registered runners will be entered to win Vikings Locker Room gift cards.

Proceeds from the TCO Vikings Virtual 5K will directly benefit Bolder Options, CycleHealth and United Heroes League, which all help kids.

Bolder Options "provides wellness-based mentoring for middle school youth. Once we identify youth who need support we match them with volunteer mentors who meet with them every week for a year. Throughout their year together, participants focus on holistic personal development through weekly activities hosted by staff. We make mentoring fun, easy, and meaningful."

CycleHealth has the goal of starting a new cycle of health starting with kids.

For the first time in American history, kids are less healthy than their parents were at the same age. Without a catalyst, chronic disease will only grow in America. We refuse to accept this.

United Heroes League was established to "help military families build confidence, friendships, and engagement through sports."

You can follow the link below to get registered for the virtual 5K.  Registration deadline is August 31.
