The Darkness Bringing Their ‘Easter Is Cancelled’ Tour to Minneapolis
If you've never seen The Darkness in concert, I can verify that you are missing an amazing time with a spirited rock band. The Darkness returns to Minnesota this spring.
The British rock band announced their return to North America this week on their Facebook page:
North America! 🇺🇸 We know, it's been an agonizing wait - but now it's your time! This year we come to you again, humble in our mission but resolute in our purpose. Join with us in the benediction of ROCK, as we bring our Easter is Cancelled World Tour to your spume-flecked shores. We cancelled Easter and now we are going to cancel your souls – let’s reboot together in the epiphany that only 150% pure adrenaline can bring. You are me, I am you, and music is the river that will carry us to our destiny.
The Darkness will play the Skyway Theatre in downtown Minneapolis on Tuesday, May 19. Tickets go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 17, and they're just $25 plus tax & fees.
The Darkness features Justin Hawkins (lead vocals, lead guitar), his brother Dan Hawkins (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Frankie Poullain (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Rufus Tiger Taylor (drums, backing vocals).
The Easter Is Cancelled Tour features them playing their new concept album of the same name in it's entirety, followed by a greatest hits set.
While the band has a fun attitude, they are all terrific musicians and put on a fantastic show. When Guns N' Roses went to the U.K. recently, they chose The Darkness as their opening act.
