After a big game from Michael Cuddyer and Delmon Young in an 11-4 win over the Angels on Wednesday, the Twins were only able to muster one run in a 1-7 rout Thursday. The only run the Twins managed came from the bat of Jim Thome, who hit is 598th career home run. This puts Thome only two homers away from becoming the 8th major league player to reach such a mark.

The Twins season continues to move along like a rollercoaster ride for fans, offering some pretty exciting highs along with some pretty deep lows. The reigning AL Central champs currently sit 8 games behind division-leading Detroit, and face a weekend series against division rival Chicago. The Twins have had some luck against the White Sox this season, and hope the home stand will bring a little momentum to the team.

The Twins have lost 6 of their last 10, and need to make up some ground with their upcoming 6-game home stand with both the White Sox over the weekend and the Red Sox starting next week.
