Thousands Without Power Around Region As Storm Moves Through Region

Minnesota Power is reporting multiple power outages around the region, with over 8,000 customers across their Northern Minnesota coverage area without power as of 2:30 this afternoon.

The heaviest concentration of outages is in the immediate Twin Ports area, with outages being reported in many neighborhoods across Duluth, as well as in Hermantown, Midway Townsship, and elsewhere. There is also one reported outage impacting a portion of Superior as well this afternoon, according to Superior Water, Light, and Power's website. Lake Country Power is also reporting outages, with just under 60 customers impacted as of 2:30 this afternoon.

Crews are out, working to restore power as soon as possible to all customers.
