There's a long laundry list of things that this city could use. From fixed potholes to new sewers, the list is endless. I thought I would go with an entertainment route. Here is what I think this town needs. Many businesses have come and gone throughout the years. This area has definitely seen a business boom. From mini malls to high end apartment complexes, Duluth is "Movin' on Up" to quote the Jefferson's theme song.

  • My first choice is a drive-in theater. We had one many years ago, located at 4954 Miller Trunk Highway. It opened in September of 1948 and closed in 1986. Bullyan RV is located at 4956 Miller Trunk Highway now. http://cinematreasures.org/theaters/21438
  • My next choice is an outdoor Six Flags/Vallyfair type of attraction. I have tickets for Valleyfair, and the only thing I am dreading is the 2 1/2 - 3 hour drive to Shakopee just to have to drive all that way back that very same day.
  • With my last choice I may be dating myself a bit, but I remember when Spirit Mountain had an outdoor swimming pool. I was pretty young, I think you had to pay to get in? I would love to see more public pools around town. It would create jobs for lifeguards and pool maintenance people.

Those are my picks, if you have any you'd like to add, enter them in the comments below!

Best theme song ever, hands down.
