The Minnesota Timberwolves are quickly starting to turn things around, and a key piece of that puzzle is All-Star forward Kevin Love, he and the team came together today on a four-year contract extension that will allow him to become a free agent after three seasons if he chooses.

The four-year contract will be worth almost $61 million to Love.  One of the hangups that kept the two from reaching a deal sooner was a four vs. five-year "max" deal, they had a deadline of 11p.m. tonight before Love would have became a unrestricted free agent.
