Tips for Watching, When to be at the Finish Line to See Winners in Each Division of Grandma’s Marathon
What’s the most exciting part of a marathon? The end of it, of course. I’ve seen some pretty close finishes, like last year where winner Chris Kipyego won by only .20 seconds. It was a heck of an experience to see a 26.2 mile race end in a photo finish! Find out here what times each division is expected to have it’s winners.
Approximate finish times:
Men’s Half Marathon Nationals 7:15 am
Women’s Half Marathon Nationals 7:33 am
Men’s Half Marathon Citizens 7:57 am
Women’s Half Marathon Citizens 8:05 am
Men’s Wheelchair 9:08 am
Women’s Wheelchair 9:20 am
Men’s Marathon 9:55 am
Women’s Marathon 10:15 am
Of course the best time to get there is bright and early, it get’s busy! Part of the fun is the thousands of people cheering along Canal Park Drive, you should really experience it at least once!
